7. Commute

DLR (Damn Lovely Railway)
by Robbie Carman

There wasn’t too much of a thought process behind the content of this piece of work. I wanted to pay tribute to the everyday, that was both light-hearted and relatable.

Although it’s mundane, and sometimes horrible, the DLR is the best commute I have had in London. And it's small things that make going to work, early in the morning, a bit easier that should be spoken for as well.

Having the exhibition to work towards was also a great excuse to try out reduction printing for the first time and the DLR is a good shape, bold and red.
